  1. 190g soba noodles
  2. 1 tablespoon mirin
  3. 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  4. 1 tablespoon honey
  5. 1 teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger
  6. 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  7. 500g beef steaks (scotch fillet, sirloin or rump)
  8. 1 bunch small radishes, quartered
  9. 400g small brussels sprouts, halved
  10. 2 teaspoons mixed sesame seeds
  11. Green shallots, shredded, to serve
  12. 1 tablespoon tamari
  13. 2 teaspoon mirin
  14. 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  15. 1 teaspoon honey
  16. 1 teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger

  1. Cook noodles in a large saucepan of boiling water following packet directions until tender. Drain and rinse under cold running water.
  2. Meanwhile, to make the dressing, combine all ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Combine mirin, vinegar, honey and ginger in a bowl. Heat 1 tsp coconut oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Season steak. Cook, turning, for 5 minutes for medium or until cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate. Cover and set aside.
  4. Heat remaining oil in pan over medium-high heat. Add the radish and sprouts. Season. Cook, stirring, for 6 minutes or until golden brown. Add mirin mixture. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until glazed and sticky. Stir in half the sesame. Remove from heat.
  5. Thinly slice steak. Divide the noodles among serving bowls. Top with radish mixture and steak. Drizzle with dressing and sprinkle with shallot and remaining sesame.
